About this game
《Words Plus》 visualizes the process of AI learning human language as a journey of exploration with the method of environmental narrative.
The player will become an ignorant AI boy and go deep into the world of human language. From a childlike perspective, the player will feel how the increasingly weakened semantics and extreme language feed the AI boy step by step and eventually shape him into a "complete human".
Creation Background:
In the context of modern Internet, language has undergone significant changes. Language and the semantics behind language have been dramatically weakened or even seriously mismatched with the original emotional information. Under this circumstance, a large number of high-intensity "new languages" have prolifulated.
As today, the word "ha ha" in the context of the Internet has been left to perfunctory connotation. It takes at least seven hours to convince the other person that we are genuinely happy; Or with an exaggerated and strong word like "YYDS." Since when have we become unable to express our true feelings without using such extreme language? When our language habits eventually become a single qualitative network language, what state will the way of thinking based on it develop into?
We study and sort out the development of semantic inflation, its essential causes, and its future impact. We use THE AI natural language processing model -GPT3 to generate text as the basis of creation and extract it figuratively by using the method of gamification design to explore the possibility of this digital narrative based on AI.
