Tlingit is not an ancient relic—it is a living language that has endured despite every effort to silence it. Within the last century, our people have been punished for speaking our language. Schools, institutions, and government policies worked to erase it from our lives. And even now, when we fight to reclaim what was taken, we are told that our language has no value, that it is a personal hobby rather than a right, or that revitalization efforts are too difficult to support.
Let's Learn Lingít is a response to that.
This interactive study tool is designed to be a safe place for learners, whether you are just beginning your journey or looking to strengthen what you already know. This game is not a product of diversity initiatives or trends—it is a direct act of survival, love, and resistance.
