Overview
About this game
Your group chat. On a TV. With a scoreboard.
Three prompts. Two GIFs. One winner per round.
Everyone scribbles a few prompts. Everyone scrambles to find the perfect reaction GIF for someone else's. Then the whole room votes head to head, and whoever lands the perfect GIF takes the round.
The funny comes from the people in the room. We just set the bait, keep score, and drop the confetti when somebody lands the perfect one.
How a night works
Launch the game on your PC, laptop, or Steam Deck plugged into the TV.
A room code and a QR code pop up on screen. Your guests scan it with their phone camera.
The TV runs the show. Phones do the typing, the hunting, and the voting. You do the laughing, the gasping, and the trash talk.
What you are getting
3 to 8 active players, plus an audience for the back row. Everyone votes. Everyone heckles.
Phones are the controllers. No app, no account, no install for your guests. They scan a QR, pick a name, and they're in.
Plays in person, or remotely. Hosting on a video call? Share the host screen so everyone can see the action, then drop the join link in the chat. Players can join from anywhere with internet.
Built for a loud room. Big chunky type. Juicy sound. Narration that hosts the room. Designed to land over a couch full of people yelling at the TV.
Steam Deck supported.
Who is it for
Friends, family, the cousin who says they don't get video games. If they can send a GIF in a group chat, they can play.
Holiday dinner tested. Game night tested. The hour before everyone leaves tested. The hour after they were supposed to tested.
Who is making this
We are Party Hat Games. A tiny studio making party games that we actually play ourselves. The GIF Game is our first.
