About this game
THE NINETIES
Twenty years ago, Soviet scientists discovered a miracle fuel — one that never burns up, yet gives off endless energy. It could have been a step into space. Instead, it became a step toward militarization. The Cold War didn't end — it became eternal.
Every citizen was promised a chance at salvation. Apartment buildings were fitted with escape pods. No one knew when Judgment Day would come — but everyone got ready.
THE TIME HAS COME
Sirens wail. The building is flooding with fuel. You're one of eight residents who missed the evacuation. One last pod remains. It doesn't wait for the best. It waits for the last one alive. Sneak and hide, or smash your way through to the one door out. What? It's locked? Oh, right — first you'll need to find the key... Or take it from whoever found it first.

IN THE END, ONLY ONE REMAINS. Bashnya is a top-down action roguelike. Play solo or with others, bring your friends — and fight for the last seat in the escape pod.
NOTHING ABOVE BUT CONCRETE. The fuel keeps rising, driving you up floor by floor, higher and higher — until the rooftops drown in the clouds and the cosmos appears beyond your window.
SOVIET BLUEPRINTS. You can't leave Bashnya — but you can admire its layouts, drawn from real Soviet blueprints. And you can always blow the whole place to hell.
FILL YOUR BRAIN. Over 100 different abilities shaped like pentominoes, which you'll have to piece together inside your head to survive.
THE WORLD YOU BUILT. Strangers' kills and rescues decide what the world becomes — kind or cruel. You depend on people you'll never meet.
SOVIETPUNK. Concrete blocks, cassette tapes, forgotten courtyards and their heroes — all steeped in impossible technology and melancholic post-punk sung in Russian.
