Overview
About this game
Battle of Arachnidia is a top-down arcade shooter representing a modern adaptation of classic genre mechanics. The setting is based on battles between combat mechs and arachnid robots.
The primary objective of the player is to defend the base and eliminate enemy units. The gameplay requires the application of tactical decisions, the progressive upgrade of the controlled robot's characteristics, and the use of auxiliary power-ups.
The project includes an integrated custom level editor that expands the core functionality of the game. Editor characteristics:
Location scalability: The system allows for the design of maps of various dimensions, from compact arenas to large-scale levels.
Difficulty variability: Built-in tools provide the capability for detailed adjustment of the created map's difficulty level.
Network sharing: A file export function is implemented, enabling the transfer of created levels to other players.

Player objectives:
Defending the base.
Destroying enemies.
Upgrading robot stats.
Using power-ups in combat.
The built-in level editor allows the creation of custom maps. Its features:
Size adjustment: from small arenas to huge locations.
Difficulty selection: setting any difficulty level.
Level sharing: the ability to share created maps with friends to play.

The game is a solo project by Volodymyr Krysenko, created as a tribute to the classic arcade shooter genre.
