About this game
Bring your hometown back together!
After living overseas, 12-year old Hoshino returns to Japan to live in her childhood danchi (a Japanese mass housing complex). Her grandmother, now living with dementia, motivates Hoshino to revive the danchi's now-cancelled summer festival.
Why was the festival tradition cancelled? Who wants to stop Hoshino from reviving it? And what caused her hometown to decline in the 7 years she was away?
Explore Hoshino's danchi, uncover forgotten truths, and reconnect with her neighbors in... Danchi Days!
Save the world by... talking to neighbors?
The world of Danchi Days is full of people from all walks of life - from quirky seniors teaching you about the pleasures of chatting, to brooding high-schoolers who desire nothing more than to escape their hometown! In her quest to revive her hometown's summer festival, Hoshino will invite all sorts of people to the festival.

Surf the internet and read about your neighbors
Hoshino's dad made "NeighborNet" - a place where neighbors share their websites! Search keywords to find pages to surf, and learn more about your world. But watch out! Some websites are... darker, malevolent, even. Not everyone views life so positively... and not everyone wants Hoshino to revive the summer festival.
Play minigames - it's the small things that matter most
Our heroine, Hoshino, also hopes to become a Sense Master! By focusing in on the mundane world around her, she can find wonder in unique "Sense Games", where she'll bump into trees to smell them, collect beads of condensation from iced tea, and even listen to the sounds of neighbors' toilets! You never know what you'll encounter in these everyday minigames, or what clearing them might lead to!
