About the Game

Doomed Otaku is a story-driven adventure game where a wandering 20-something Otaku travels between two worlds—reality and the internet—experiencing various incidents along the way.

The protagonist, Jin Da-yeon, is a die-hard fan of the Japanese idol game, "Idol☆Star."

Upon hearing that limited-edition character perfumes are launching in Japan,

she ends up leading a group purchase for the merchandise.

However, being terrible with money, she impulsively spends all the collected funds on personal expenses.

Only 14 days left until the order deadline...

Can she scrape together $5,000 in time to place the order?

Face reality and reform... or escape to the internet and face doom?

A full-blown immersive Otaku psychological thriller: Doomed Otaku!!

Live faithfully in both reality and the internet to pay back the $5,000!

In Doomed Otaku, reality is a dull and colorless world.

In contrast, the internet world is vibrant and full of excitement.

Help the landlord manage the apartment building!

If you get close to the residents... you might receive unexpected help.

2. Explore Various Locations!

Forget-Me-Not Village is filled with suspicious people and mysterious items.

Search thoroughly for anything that might be worth some money!

3. Work at the Logistics Center! You can earn a daily wage by working at the logistics center near the apartment. Work hard (if you can)!

1. Spend a Happy Day with Idols!

In the protagonist’s favorite game, "Idol☆Star," enjoy dates and play games with Ikeman, Neketsu, and Shotaro!

2. Intervene in Petty User Disputes!

All sorts of incidents happen among the Otakus. They are waiting for you—the internet’s biggest superstar—to settle their drama!

3. …Is there a user who trades game money for real cash…?

A user who trades "Idol☆Star" currency for real money?! Earn gold through in-game activities and convert your game money into cash!

1. SP (Social Point)

As a shut-in, Da-yeon needs SP (Social Point) to go outside. If your SP runs out, you will no longer be able to take any actions.

2. Character Progression

Relationships can be romantic, professional, or even toxic rivalries. Even characters who already have partners can be your target! Build connections in various ways and see what lies at the end of each path.

3. Multi-Ending & The Importance of Choice

Experience over 20 different endings depending on the choices the protagonist makes.
