Storyline
You play as a young boy, the protagonist of an autobiographical story told from the perspective of an adult Andrew, who recounts his experiences for a documentary film. The narrative delves into what happened to him and his family when he lived on their family farm as a child. Due to the passage of time, not everything in the protagonist's memory is clear, but one thing is certain - Andrew had contact with aliens. The same applies to his father, who unfortunately went missing, leaving a lasting scar on Andrew's psyche. Thankfully, Andrew wasn’t entirely alone, as he lived on the farm with his mother Jenna, grandfather Bob and his dog Rocky.
Apart from events related to finding his missing father, Andrew learns about the conflict between his mother and grandfather. It turns out that Jenna is no longer fond of living on the farm and would prefer to move to the city. On the other hand, Bob is deeply attached to farm life and tries to convince Jenna to stay. He is worried that if they move away, he will lose contact with his grandson, Andrew.
Gameplay
UnFOrgettable Encounters is a first-person horror walking simulator. The gameplay focuses on exploration and uncovering the details of the story. The game emphasizes atmosphere, building tension and delivering a compelling narrative.
As you play, you’ll look for clues to help you move forward in the story. You’ll also use items: a map, a walkie-talkie, and a flashlight to find your way through the dark and eerie environment. Along the way, you’ll read notes, find photos and drawings left by Andrew's father that reveal more about what’s going on.
You’ll follow tracks and points of interest that lead to intense encounters with the Alien, building up the suspense and making each discovery more chilling.
