Overview
About this game
From the beginning. You'll establish your own settlement starting with the very first building. All you have is a couple of peasants and a valiant feudal lord with land rights.
No grand wars. No battles for the kingdom, no fates of empires. You're just a petty feudal lord whose task, above all else, is to survive in the most dangerous of medieval settings.
Equipment matters. Creating decent gear is a historically challenging task for any blacksmith. You'll need significant resources, time, and skill to forge truly reliable armor.
Resource management. Building the settlement's economy is a key strategic task. You'll need tactics and wit to balance food, gold, and army correctly. Those who think only of economic prosperity will be looted and killed.
No survival without diplomacy. Don't anger the king, cooperate with other feudal lords, and trade! Even temporary lawlessness can — and will — cost you your life.
Talents system. Each peasant can level up their skills, and also has a natural talent in one particular craft. By identifying the talents of your subjects, you'll be able to dominate any field.
Strategy. You can gradually buy animals for the farm, or risk a hunt for a bear pelt. Every option carries its own chance of success — it's up to you to choose your path.
