About the Game
Soul Chained is a co-op souls-lite where rival warlords are condemned to eternity by the Soul Chain. Cast into the chaotic depths of Purgatory, you must work (and roll) together to defeat monstrous manifestations of your sins, ascend the colossal Tower, and earn your chance at redemption.
What you get:
Chain Physics and Chain-based combat
Souls-like Combat and Mechanics
Two Difficulties - Normal Mode (for the casual experience) and Hard Mode (for the Souls Enthusiasts)
Chain Magic (Fire, Ice, etc.) and various weapons for different use cases
Unique Bosses and multiple enemy types
Up to 4-players in Havoc Mode + a "ball-and-chain" single-player mode
The Soul Chain is like a double-edged sword, it sometimes lets you execute the most cinematic coordinated attack imaginable, other times it puts you and your teammate in the perfect place for total chaotic annihilation.
Coil and tie up enemies together, trip bosses, slingshot objects, clothesline groups of mobs... and more. Make use of the Soul Chain, and it may just become more of a friend than your actual teammates.
As you ascend the colossal Tower of Purgatory, each chapter ends in a battle with a massive manifestation of your mortal sins: powerful beings shaped by greed, tyranny, destruction, and death - all equally menacing.
Ascension means overcoming unimaginable odds & chaos, even if it entails countless falls and innumerable deaths.
Havoc Mode lets up to four players enter Purgatory together, which immediately changes the game into a live recording of a disaster. Being chained as a group means dragging each other in every direction, comms collapsing into screaming, and eventually discovering which teammate is still that sinful warlord sabotaging your great escape from Purgatory.
Don’t have friends to play with? There’s a single-player mode just for you. Instead of rival warlords, your soul is chained to a huge ball you’ll have to carry around and fight with.
