Overview
About this game
The year is 2001. You just downloaded the highly anticipated demo build of Iskabon, the latest release from POi Interactive. But the moment you download it, your system crashes.
When the monitor flickers back to life, your computer's operating system and the game's code have somehow fused into a living digital nightmare. Now, it’s up to you and your trusty virtual companion, Bananna, to beat the game, purge the glitch, and save your PC before it melts your motherboard.
Russian Roulette Meets Deckbuilding
Iskabon is a high-stakes roguelike deckbuilder with a deadly twist. Each round, you must blindly draw cards from your deck. Your goal? Avoid the dreaded Iskabon card. Drawing it instantly discards your entire hand and deals massive damage to your system health.
High Risk, High Reward: The bigger you make your hand, the higher the chance of your score skyrocketing. But stretch your luck too far, and you risk losing everything.
A Massive Arsenal: Unlock a roster of over 40 unique cards as you progress through your run, allowing you to adapt your strategy on the fly.
Item Cards: Items purchased from the in-game shop can improve your odds of surviving- Shield absorbs the impact of a single Iskabon hit, saving your hand and your health; while Axe removes half of the cards including the Iskabon!
Order Matters: Maximize Your Synergies
A round only ends when you choose to play your hand. Cards trigger sequentially from left to right, meaning positioning is everything. Because cards unique impact scores, multipliers, or adjacent cards, a single swap can trigger massive compounding effects. Rearrange your hand carefully to unlock devastating synergies and score big!
Fail, Upgrade, Repeat
You will crash and burn and see the Blue Screen of Death. But every system reboot is another opportunity to make yourself stronger. Use the upgrade points earned from your failed runs to permanently hack your system for future runs:
Because as the saying goes- Success is the failure of Pillar... erm...or something like that.
Anyways. GOOD LUCK!
