In the roguelike survival game Rune Forge, the core gameplay revolves around a system called the "Rune Forge," which allows players to freely combine skill modules to create unique abilities.
Each skill is broken down into four modules:
Essence: Defines the skill's core element (e.g., Fire, Frost, Lightning).
Form: Determines how the skill is delivered (e.g., Projectile, Zone, Wave).
Efficiency: Alters how the skill operates (e.g., Multi-cast, Charge-up, Cooldown Reduction).
Enhancement: Adds special effects (e.g., Pierce, Freeze, Life Leech).
Through combination, you can fuse a [Fire Essence] with a [Zone Form] to create a burning inferno, or add [Projectile Form] and [Pierce Enhancement] to a [Healing Essence], turning it into a "Spear of Holy Light" that can also damage enemies.
The modules acquired each run are random, encouraging players to adapt their builds and experiment constantly. Each visit to the Rune Forge allows you to craft powerful skills that defy conventions, ensuring every survival run is packed with limitless possibilities and a fresh experience.
