Overview
About this game
Welcome to Moonperch Island.
You and a single friend are the island's last postal crew, sharing one fragile, aging car across a hand-crafted island swallowed in fog. The cargo is heavy and the road is unforgiving. There is no convoy and no second vehicle - just the two of you, your headlights, and the cold.
Inspired by Easy Delivery Co. and Death Stranding, Fragile Frontier is about atmosphere, weight, and quiet dread - keeping a heavy load secured and a crewmate safe while the world presses in around you.
Load It. Drive It. Lose It. Recover It - On Foot.
- Cargo on the Roof: Heavy crates are strapped to your one car, shifting its center of gravity with every load
- A Mistake Costs You: Hit something hard enough and a crate works loose and drops - a real, weighty object in the dark
- Stop and Recover: No driving over it, no shortcuts. Someone has to stop the car and walk out into the fog to find it
- Carry It Back: Heft the crate through the terrain and re-strap it to the roof
No instant fail - but every dropped crate costs time, warmth, and fuel out in the mist.
Survive the Route
Three things keep you alive out here, and all of them run down:
- Warmth: Stray from the cab heater or a campfire and the cold closes in - ice creeps across your vision as you freeze
- Energy: Long hauls and hard recoveries wear you down. Rest at shelter, or crack an energy drink and push on
- Fuel: The tank drains as you drive. Refuel at the depot, carry fuel cans, or pay dearly at roadside caches - run dry and you're stranded, and a dead engine won't warm anyone
Two Owls, One Car
- Driver & Navigator: One drives the blind, fog-bound road; the other reads the dashboard, the paper map, and the landmarks out the window - navigation is entirely in-world, with no compass and no objective markers
- Recover Together: Someone has to leave the warm cab to retrieve a lost crate - decide who, and for how long
- One Lifeline: Lose the car and you lose everything - protect it together
Moonperch Island - Vast, Lonely, Uncaring
A hand-crafted island designed to feel isolating: near-deserted village streets around the depot, fog-choked forest roads, weather-worn bridges, exposed hillside switchbacks, and cold coastal paths far from any help. Meet 7 NPC owls - distant, solemn, and quietly in denial about the mountain above them.
Upgrade to Survive
Earn Feathers from hard-won deliveries and invest in staying alive: snow tires and ice chains for the ploughed roads, a reinforced bumper, brighter headlights, a more efficient cab heater, a larger fuel tank, and stronger cargo straps.
