About this game

  • Step into the role of an overseer of a retro facility where science is a service, and containment is a contract. Inspired by the mood and pacing of classic late-90s sci-fi games, you’ll design and expand a research complex built to handle the jobs you accept: test hazardous materials, contain anomalies, and deliver results under pressure.

  • Your facility isn’t a backdrop, but the machine you engineer. Build labs, security, and logistics from the ground up in a physics-driven sandbox where mistakes become incidents.

  • Your staff act with intention: they assess situations, pursue objectives, and adapt their methods instead of following fixed scripts, creating surprising (and sometimes disastrous) outcomes. Keep the work flowing, their needs satisfied, and the doors sealed!

WHAT YOU ARE HIRED TO DO

  • DESIGN THE FACILITY around work and the needs of the inhabitants: labs, storage, holding areas, security layers, safe routes, cafeterias, personal chambers.

  • ACCEPT CONTRACTS for research, testing, and containment - each with different risks, requirements, and failure conditions.

  • OPERATE IN FIRST-PERSON to inspect, intervene, and improvise during live incidents.

  • USE PHYSICS in a reactive sandbox: objects move, break, block paths, and contribute to emergent failures and solutions.

  • MANAGE STAFF who act with intent. They pursue objectives, weigh priorities, and choose action sequences dynamically - leading to believable, unscripted moments.

  • FACE THE FEAR that creeps in through sound, lighting, perception, and the feeling that procedures aren’t the only thing shaping outcomes.
