Overview

About this game

Self Simulated: Pinball Anomaly is a pinball action game for Game Boy Color, inspired by classics like Pokémon Pinball, Super Robot Pinball, and Devil's Crush — where you must fight through a corrupted digital simulation to rescue Self, the robotic protagonist of the original Self Simulated.

This isn't just a score-chaser. It's a battle.

One Table. Many Threats.

The simulation is alive with enemies. Fight your way through waves of hostile robots, survive boss encounters, and dismantle M-Iss1-NgN-0's grip on the system — all with the flippers. Bumpers, slingshots, drop targets, and skillshot orbits give you the tools. How you use them is up to you.

Key Features

  • Authentic Pinball Mechanics — A full-featured table with bumpers, slingshots, drop targets, skillshot orbits, and ball saves

  • Enemy Waves & Boss Fights — Battle multiple robot enemies across waves and face down bosses to progress the story

  • Nudge System — Physically influence the ball's path with nudges — but over-nudge and face a penalty. Master the Power-Nudge to defeat enemies

  • Mini-Game Pinball Rooms — Special flipper rooms unlock during a run, offering unique micro-challenges and variety

  • Highscore Chase — Classic score-chasing gameplay rewards skill, risk-taking, and pattern mastery across every run

  • Save & Resume Anytime — Save your run mid-game and pick up exactly where you left off

  • Rumble Support — Full hardware rumble for a more tactile pinball experience

  • Assist Settings — Start with 6 balls instead of 3, faster ball saves, and reduced game speed for a more accessible experience

A Spinoff Built for the Hardware

Self Simulated: Pinball Anomaly is a direct spinoff of Self Simulated — the Game Boy Color precision platformer released as a physical cartridge in 2025. You don't need to have played the original to enjoy Pinball Anomaly, but fans will recognize Self and understand what's at stake.
